Midway, you are quite correct to say capitalisation is shouting and I guess what has prompted you to make the comment is the police report I posted for Dogcatcher. However, this was how the police sent it out and I wasn't going to rewrite it. On the subject of bumping posts, I will lock the advert. If something advertised hasn't attracted any enquires then after a period it is reasonable to bring it to the top of the "latest posts" by adding more details to the thread. The sale item in question has been re-advertised too soon and too often and the conclusion must be "no one is interested at that price". There is another reason posters do not see the problem they cause other forum users - because they post in a topic/subject area they may not know of the existence of the "latest posts" (which the majority of users view as a first page). You and Hillbilly are guilty of this last point.  |
