Hello, wonder if anyone has any info on this, we have a tv which seems to have a HD tuner built in, and we were going to get a new Ariel installed. However I thought I would just try with the old ariel cable from the roof (not digital coax) and hooked it up just to see - it seems to get around 60 channels all perfectly - so I'm wondering if I actually need a new Digital Ariel with new cable, which leads me onto my question; Can anyone get freeview HD channels in Silsden ? I'm just trying to work out if I need a better ariel, or it's simply HD hasn't been switched on yet here. Cheers |

my ariel fitter took my big one down for emley more and put up a std one to point to silsden/kly mast which has transmitted digital (for a while now) and terrestrial tv,,, he says a std ariel is ok for digital off sils/keighley mast  |

Hi, thanks for the replies, Sounds like the aerial is fine, and that HD will be available from Sept then. I guess I just need to find out if the tuner inside my TV is a HD tuner, there's alot of conflicting info on that, the manual is a bit vague and samsung themselves don't seem to know either when I phoned their support, so I kind of gave up on them cheers |
