A silver Toyota Yarris drove past as I was coming out of a junction this morning. It was driven by a young girl BUSY TEXTING angryangryangry She continued on down the road weaving from side to side and correcting her direction when she glance up and saw a parked car she needed to avoid.

Why to people do this? she could have killed someone, or herself. She wasn't going fast but she was not in complete control of the car.

This is not a unique trait of young people, but having gone to the expense of passing a driving licence test, getting a car, and having the freedom of going where, and when you want to go why throw it all away for the sake of a minute it takes to stop and send a text (and was it THAT important anyway?)

YOU IN THE SILVER YARRIS YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE DON'T DO IT!

I have noticed that young females text, or speak, on their phone while driving more than young males do. On a number of occasions I have looked in my mirror and have seen girls on their phones.
I am surprised that, in this day of advanced technology, that no one has come up with the idea that if you operate a phone while driving there is interference from the engine which makes it impossible to have a conversation.
For those of a certain age; can you remember when you had to have surpressors fitted to the engine before you could listen to the car radio to stop the interference?
