All the jobs are service support jobs. Not one wealth creating job in manufacturing. Thatcher's legacy, don't you just love it. |

I do not think Thatcher can take the blame for Chinese workers earning next to nothing to produce goods.People use cost as the reason for buying low value items.Still we do well in other more expensive items like cars. I think rather than Thatcher being the problem look at globalisation. |

Did the job list come from this site? www.indeed.co.uk/ There might be a few more jobs in Silsden if the ruling Bradford Labour Council had not reassigned Silsden a commuter town. The area off Belton Road (on the flood plain where they want to build lots of houses) was classified as an employment area 10 years ago. |

Peter, Sorry to contradict a higher authority but: when we bought our first house in Mill Bank, 40 years ago we were warned that the whole area was designated as industrial. |
