Clerks report: to decide on action regarding requests from members of the public – full correspondence in clerks report but namely 1. Request for the council to consider carrying out a survey of present parents and routes to the proposed new school. 2. Concerns regarding the state of Hawber Cote Ln 3. Request for a town meeting when the plans for the school are disclosed. |

At the meeting last night it was decided that when the planning application for the new school are published a public meeting would be held (in a large hall) so the plans could be presented to the public and those attending could voice their concerns and ideas. The discussions and recommendations of STC, in response to the planning application, would not be part of the public meeting which would take place after the public consultation. It was resolved that the Town Clerk would write to the primary school heads and governors of the school to request they carry out a survey of how children will get to school when the new school is operational. |

The police report was there had been house burglaries and some thefts from motor cars, but I can't remember the exact number for the last month. I do remember 2 of the thefts from cars were made easy for the theives because the owners had not locked their cars. The thieves were spotted on CCTV trying car doors. The advice was to make sure your car doors are locked and satnavs and other valuables are not left in the car or on show. |
