IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

My little grand-children love being read to and they are getting a bit past the hard-board picture books. Has anyone a box of books suitable for 2 to 3 year olds that they don't want. I've looked on ebay and in charity shops but they are mainly single books and we would like a nice selection. Its a shame to buy new ones that will get battered. I'm happy to pay a reasonable amount.

Hi There
If you don't have any luck with your request, why don't you join the local library.
It's free to join and all you need is proof of address. Plenty of books to choose from and the kids get rewards (stickers and certificates etc) each time they get more books!!

Thanks yes I used to be a member when my children were little. I've told their mums and they are going to sign up. I'd just like a box to keep at my house that can get a bit battered with use.

Hi, Yes I am still looking. The little ones are between 18 months and two years at the moment. They love reading books but but they are very independent and like to hold the book themselves and turn the pages and accidents can happen. I buy new and via charity shops as I see them but just thought someone might have grown out of a shelf full of theirs. I've done the same myself and passed my own childrens on to friends.
