At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. I have been informed this morning; that there is a water leak in the £300,000 + Town hall, water is running through a light fitting on the stairs, and this as continued for the last two weeks, there is now a bucket underneath to catch the water. Surely there are Health and Safety issues here, People slipping on the water and falling down the stairs, Tripping over the bucket and falling, The water coming out of a light fitting must be against the electricity at work act. In my opinion this is dangerous, and it shows just how much Bradford cares about the people of Silsden. |

m.keighleynews.co.uk/news/11789889.Friends_of_Silsden_Town_Hall_set_to_increase_usage/ I have just seen this today. You really could not make it up! They are still making out it only cost £300,000 to "refurbish" the former Town Hall. No mention of the extra £100,000 they used or the demand for the £25,000 police fund. Andrew MALLINSON as head of the "volunteer" group is laughable in itself. Interesting he is photographed with Andrew Thornton who is also responsible for squandering vast sums of public finances by the waste site pass schemes. |

Don't worry, folks (unless you are a bowler). Councillor Thornton is intending to save £50k by telling all 55 bowling clubs to cut their own greens. |
