Whats going on?.It looks like asbestos removal but I thought that was done a couple of years ago

fire station is been rewired!but as you say they found more abestos

i have it on good authority that both our engines are safe you at least the next five years.

Don't think so, I pass the station twice a day and have always only ever seen the one engine each time for about the last two weeks.

There is no need to worry, we still have two; one is being stored down at the mill, it is still available if needed.

what about welliphant ???, I've not seem him for years on top of 1 of the engines at carnival day, has he been sacked off ?, possibly now an alchi living on the streets ???

Not sure which mill, but I think it is the one at the bottom of Elliott St, with the big car park opposite Queen St.

I can't see why they would deploy a fire engine away from a station, the reason being, you can't lock the gear storage lockers, if left unattended your equipment would soon disappear off into the night, suggest it might have something to do with the recent flooding, but thats just a gess
