This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I hope our town council are putting their comments/objections in , they only have till end of this month and I am not sure they have even discussed it yet.I also think the council should put its response on here so that we can see what they have said.

The one thing that struck me about this document was how insular the transport and employment policy was.

The 2012 Silsden Survey had a very strong support/requirement for better transport links to Skipton and this planning document does nothing to address this. The Aire Valley is a natural corridor which doesn't stop at the Steeton roundabout.

The document, in effect, proposes the increase in traffic through Silsden by promoting a better bus route to Ilkley and a vague promise of employment within BradMet.
