Sorry if this is old news to some of you. I noticed today that Bradford have put one way signs at the Bell Sq end of the lower half of Bridge Rd, at the bottom end there is a no entry sign facing up the Rd, and on the rear of this sign the sign says two way traffic. This means that if you drive into that section of Bridge Rd legally you can't drive out at either end of it! Why do we pay Bradford Council anything? |

If this the sign I think it is it means that one cannot enter the street from end, but can enter at other end. However you can leave from both ends. Seen it ignored a few times though. |

The signs are all too often ignored, but that doesn't change the fact that, until the one way sign was put at the bell sq end you could legally drive up and through from the bottom end but not go out into the main rd. Now you have a sign at the top which says one way down and a sign at the bottom saying two way traffic. So if you enter at the bottom despite what the sign says you are going the wrong way on a one way street; according to the signs at the top end. So legally if you drive in at the top end you can't get out without breaking the law! |
