This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

We saw them a while ago. One of the new appartments had a waste pipe come adrift, when the pipe spilled out onto the stones at the side of the beck they scuttered along to it. Quite a shock, put a note through one of the doors to make them aware, it was mended promptly.

When I went out Monday morning at 6.30, there was a dear with antlers standing the road side of Naylor Myers gate way. It looked a bit concerned. I have also seen a dear on High Green Drive.

I saw that deer too at about 6am. It was on the grass bank at the side of Pennine Playparks and then it went across onto Albert Sqaure, looked like a youngster that had been sperated from its mother. I haven't seen it since.
