This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I was surprised to be queueing from the roundabout again tonight. The first obstacle was the traffic lights by the sports club but then there was queue of traffic trying to turn into Howden Road and a Diversion sign in the road to avoid that were causing delay beyond that. Again the delays were greater coming from the Steeton direction. Another fun journey home and there are more road works to look forward to on the next three Sundays.angry

Who was the Wally responsible for digging the road up outside the Sports Club?? Only Mini cars and push bikes can now get in!!

Surely he could have moved the hole three feet towards Steeton or put a metal plate across the hole to allow cars in and out of the Sports Field. Thick or what?

Isn't it for one of their own service connections? Perhaps someone will tell us.

Thursday evening 4.4opm , good weather and no men working at the hole outside Sports ground! Probably have to be back at their depot by 5pm??
Friday Am Temp. trafic lights not working in either direction but men were at the hole no one seemed to have organised a 'stop and go' man or got fuel? for lights maybe it is not in their job description??
