Rest and rant i would call it. I do not dine there anymore but my neighbours went last week and will not be going back. They went in at 7.15, did't get out until 11.15pm. I believe it was 9.30 before they got their main meal. Two of them ordered steak at £19, they both came out served "COLD" not even luke warm. They complained and they took the steaks away. The vegetables got delivered but by the time they brought the steaks back the veg had gone cold. This was then taken away to warm up. The only explanation they had was that they were stort staffed. A free drink was offered for the £208.00 bill. Anyone had a "good meal" there? I was quite looking forward to a restaurant "an overflow" from Stefanos, but been twice and totally disappointed. Don't think I'll bother. |

My work colleague has been friends with them for years and visited them weekly at their restaurant in Keighley. Today I told her about my neighbours and she said, well I must admit, I also went recently and I couldn't even eat the pasta it was full of oil, so what was once a loyal customer she is not going back. Sorry Grouse you really really need to get your act together. I do hope you can get things sorted with your Chef and waitresses and review your pricing structure, maybe then you may succeed1 |

Hi pumbajunior - why not try it yourself first before taking your friend, I've just been twice, maybe, hopefully, it might just be teething problems, surely it can't be bad all the time Will be good to hear some positive feedback! |

shame it wasn't to be an english food restaurant at reasonable prices and nothing too flash, pies, steaks, good fish and chips etc, I feel we have enough foreign food restaurants in silsden. |

Ain't that what Gordon Ramsay told Bonapartes to do?
Never understand why we can't have a decent English one. Partial to a decent steak myself....... |

Party of 6 ate last night at The Grouse in Silsden. Credit where credit is due the service was A1 and the food was excellent. Brilliant night - well done staff - highly recommended. |

well I have been now and I had a good experience. The service was good but not obtrusive, the food was faultless, the staff pleasant , nice ambiance not overly expensive. It was not full and I think if it had been, the staff might have struggled also there was a lot of choice and perhaps if everyone ordererd different things they could get behind as the kitchen is quite small but as I say, I had a most enjoyable evening (I am not easy to please)I hope they do well. |

We have been three times - all very good. As with the previous comment they weren't too busy but we had good service, good food and not a bad price. It's useful to have an Italian restaurant that you can just decide to go to on the night and then walk down. Stephanos is very good but you really do have to book in advance and we don't always decide to go out till the last minute. So we tend to end up at Crosshills and one of us (me) has to drive so I can't have a drink. |

In reply to Wilma I have tried the Grouse on a number of occasions, so pleased we have an alternative Italian restaurant in Silsden. Went last week great food, service good, atmosphere superb cant wait to go back have booked for New Years Eve. What are you lot talking about? Such a great alternative to Stefanos. |

We went last night (my first time ~ Mrs Ilyama been before) and i'm pleased to say it was really, really nice. Good atmosphere and the food that we had was spot on. Granted, there was plenty of time between courses, but that was refreshing - not being rushed. I think we should be proud, and encouraging, when people try to make a go of a "proper" restaurant in Silsden. We'll definitely go back. |

It is good to relax and take your time over a meal, that is how it is done in places like Italy,Spain Greece etc, everyone is always in a rush in this country, need to chill out a bit and relax, if you want fast food go to a fastfood restaurant! I found the experience at the grouse to be very good |

Sorry to hear about the appalling "service" at the restaurant. You should have refused to pay. Shame, it could have been a really good idea!
