does anyone know what happened to the cygnet that was in the canal just before the swing bridge at brunthwaite bridge(heading from silsden) I saw it with binoculars, it looked dead, was swimming happily yesterday morning then noticed later that it was laid in the water

there was 1 dead about 2 weeks ago next to a water works boat,what happens is that if they stay with the parent swans longer than they should either father swan or mother swan chase them away and in some cases drowned them
