it was girls fighting one girl attacked an other young girl with her stiletto according to facebook she is in a right mess, the fighting started in the wine bar then ended up at Hothfield street a lot of people are very upset as to what has happed to the young girl and the culprit has also been named on facebook |

With regards to the unfortunate events of saturday night, some people have absolutely got the wrong end of the stick. The culprits as mentioned on facebook were the victims. The teenage gang involved know exactly what part they played in their under aged drinking brawl, which started a lot earlier in the night, when they all thrown out of other public houses. Unfortunately the victim was the women who got jumped on. she fought back in self defence? which is what anybody would have done. people need to be careful what they are saying, and without the full facts are at risk of having the police coming to them for slander. |

(except you mean libel and not slander when it is posted on the internet and it is not a criminal offence but a civil one so there would be no police involvement - i know it's pedantic but trying to scare people with threats of police visits is as bad as slander or libel) |

Wasnt trying to scare anybody, just stating the fact that surely it wasnt right posting things that are untrue, causing further upset for all persons involved. |

good to see the police are still making underage drinking in silsden a priority, where were they? more important what are the parents doing. Maybe if this goes to court, the full story will emerge and hopefully justice will be done to the perpetrators |

well said silsdenmum100, as usual the jungle drums in silsden are beating the wrong tune, the so called "victim" and her friend actually jumped the so called attacker and this girl was purely defending herself against a two on one unprovoked attack by two drunken teenages who were pulled off the so called attacker by a passer by. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Totally agreee with silsdenmum 100 and localman65, I was out that night and the supposed victim and her yob friends were the ones doing the kicking off, the other lass with the " stilletto" was the actual victim and from what i witnessed she was defending herself, but typical silsden jungle drums hear a bit of gossip and spread it without even bothering to get their facts straight, these teenagers are causing so much bother fighting every week and the police are over all the time at the momement but no one is posting messages about them! |

mmmmm I smell an orchestrated campaign here! However, if you get off your high horses and read back through all the messages in this thread - there is only one person who got their facts wrong (as you report them and that was hardly a bit of gossip as names weren't mentioned) - no one else is "gossiping" - so let's put that down to a little bit of human error eh? The funny thing is, your last few posts have actually spread more gossip than all the 20 or so prior to that! |

actually last few posts have not spread gossip only fact, and not an orchestraed campaign maybe people have just got wind of the posts and felt like people should have both sides of the story, and the person who posted the thread earlier may not have mentioned names but did inform people that the so-called "culprit" was named on face book. |

only facebook members who know he people involved will have access to the info, its not something that eveyone can see, I have no idea who was involved even though I am a facebook member. Maybe the person who put the first post on about "someone being killed" should apologise? It is a shame that silsden is earning itself such a bad reputation |

the accusations were on facebook I only quoted what was on there because the gossip on here related to a murder? please note in the past when people have been attacked and retaliated using a weapon (a stiletto will be classed a weapon)they can find that they can be charched with assault? lets hope the truth comes out. As for gossip being quoted are not all forums to a degree places for people to gossip and try and get the true facts we do always seem to get to the facts in the end. |
