This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

this isn't a moan really. i just wondered if anybody knew why the roundabout as your'e coming from keighley on the by-pass, seems very busy at tea time.(much more than usual),before some clever dick states it's always busy at that time.

Could this be caused by the number of cars parked by the grass verge on Station road Steeton i.e Station road is reduced in width due to the parked cars meaning traffic has to wait until there is a break in oncoming traffic to carry on !?

Where do all the parked cars come from is it overflow from the station, or from the millennium business park ?

There have been cars parked on the verge for some months now and there's never been any problem before. Does anyone know if there are roadworks on the old road from steeton to keighley? It might be that more drivers take the bypass, hence more traffic going past the railway.

There have been roadwork signs up saying Skipton road closed as you approach the Steeton roundabout.

Cross Hills gas pipline repairs delays traffic to Silsden?

I believe Cross Hills has a diversion at the moment because of the replacement of the gas pipe. There was last Monday anyway.

Drivers are choosing to use Station Road Steeton, rather than trying to make a right turn on the, near impossible Station Road Crosshills

Station Road is like a car park every week night due to the lights ony letting 4 or 5 cars through at a time I see it every week night but I think the cars parked on Station Road don`t help
