This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Taken from www.westyorkshire.police.uk/npt/area.asp?id=248#864

Community Speedwatch

Police Community Support Officers, alongside local volunteers, have been conducting Speedwatch in the local area. Anyone caught exceeding the speed limit will be sent a warning letter informing them on the error of their ways and advising them that next time it may not just be a warning they receive.

Officers are looking to conduct more Speedwatch throughout the ward area and are happy to receive any issues regarding speeding in their street. We would urge drivers to be aware of speed limits and drive appropriately.

Anyone wishing to volunteer to be involved in Speedwatch is encouraged to contact ourselves via phone or at: hanpt1@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.

Wednesday 2nd June - PCSO Turnbull conducted a speedwatch on Keighley Road, Silsden. 12 vehicles were caught exceeding the speed limit on this occasion.

Tuesday 25th May - PC Merifield conducted a speedwatch on Skipton Road, Silsden. 5 vehicles were caught exceeding the speed limit on this occasion.

Friday 13th May - PCSO Turnbull conducted a speedwatch on Keighley Road, Silsden. 10 vehicles were caught exceeding the speed limit on this occasion.
