last year i encountered 2 cars coming down the one way system on new road to get into airedale mews, but it was when the traffic lights were up on kirkgate so thought it was a one off, as cars were parked on one side i had to brake as they shot on the mews, but 1 month ago and again today ive encountered cars coming down the wrong way again,i know its only about 50 yds but will these braindeads please stop before someone gets injured you know who u are |

i live on airedale mews and in some cases when we have snow or the after math of snow, most of the residents do come down new road the wrong way, including myself, due to gritters not gritting new road,
we have had some frost in the last couple of days. so maybe it may have been residents, |

well on the four occasions ive met cars there was no snow or ice,but if snow does condone breaking the rules off the road its a good job everyone everywhere doesnt do it or we would have some right accidents, the next time i meet one they will be backing back up to the top |

but if snow does condone breaking the rules off the road
just for you, ill come the right way up new road in the snow, but when your stuck behind me or any other resident, make sure your kind enough to leave your car unattended in the high street and give me a push up new road, or even turn my car the right way for me

sammid1983, then when he tries to push you slide back over him! Is there a reason the one way isn't 50yds further down (did someone annoy Bradford Council round there)?

New Rd was made one way back in the days when the mills where in opperation . The problem with wagons traveling up and down New Rd became realy bad when Bri Nylon started using artics for the deliveries to Fletchers mill . The one way system was then introduced as it was felt it was safer for the wagons to arive at the mill via New Rd the leave via Tufton St or Hoffield St !!!!!! . I can never understand why the one way system was kept when the mills closed down . Aire View is much narrower & yet not a one way . Time to finaly change it back now the mills have gone ??? . |
