IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Put the recycling bins out this morning just before the binmen arrived and brought them in soon after they were emptied. Cant believe in that short time somebody tied a full doggy bag to the handle..what goes through peoples minds!!!! |

I'd be more annoyed by a dog owner who didn't pick up after their dog. it may be someone who was going to collect it on the way back ? its better in a bag tied to a wheelie bin than on the sole of your boot |

We have a dog and always dispose of waste correctly and would never consider leaving fastened to other peoples property |

For once Gazzer I am with you. It is the arrogance of dog owners who justify this action though that is really appalling. |

No excuses pick it up and take it home, if you don't someone might do it for you and deliver it to your home. A dog is your responsibility so look after it. |

We are dog owners who always pick up. But just lately there does seem to be a lot of little piles everywhere again. Not nice especially where I walk on Howden Road, half the street lights are still not working, so am having to take a torch to avoid walking in the little piles. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) There are quite a few street lights not working in Silsden, but if you don't report them then nothing will be done about them. Easy to report (the delay in fixing them is about 4 weeks at the moment) so if you don't report it now then in a few weeks time it will be light anyway. online.bradford.gov.uk/ufs/ufsmain?formid=GIS_EXT&INTERNAL=N&ebz=1_1453986719052&ebd=1&ebp=20&ebz=1_1453986719052 |

If you think that the actions of a minority should not bring the full force of the law on the majority then I am afraid you are in cloud cuckoo land. We are awash with legislation designed to rein in a minority. For instance if a minority had not behaved irresponsibly in the early days of motoring then we would not have laws controlling speeding. I believe legislation has just come into effect, or will very soon requiring all dogs to be chipped. Once technology allows DNA to be included then it will be easy to find the pooping dog owners. You might think this a bit big brother, well do not blame me. I do not ave a dog. |
