During the quiet winter time of gardening, the FSGP group have been refurbishing or replacing seats and benches on our country lanes.
We have repaired the seat down Gasworks lane and replaced one at Seven Hills and one at the end of Brunthwaite Lane, both soon to have their concrete legs painted.
The one at the bottom of Brown Bank Lane needs the seat replacing.

Just seen a spare plank lying around at the entrance to The Hive, off Elliott St. Looks like nobody wants it and can’t see why it should be there. Maybe this would do for the seat? |

Would anyone have such a plank going spare I could clean up and use as the seat?

Thanks midway, its part of what our group does for the pleasure of all our local residents.
Our next venture, now we have the better weather, if to help St. James again to finish clearing the weeds and brambles from the adjoining cemetery on Saturday 2nd June.
You will also see us in the main street either side of the beck, Clog Bridge and Howden Road cemetery.
3 New projects to be added this summer, all local, volunteers always welcome. |

Has the FSGP had any contact with the Addingham Environment Group.A part of the Craven Ward Labour Party's Politics in the Pub meetings we invited a key member of the Group to speak about what the group has achieved to date, it's plans for the future and some facts about the wider environment. This is a very proactive group and has recruited a large number of members because of it's activities in Addingham. The have an environment day planned in the summer, the date for which I will post on Silsden.net. The group is headed by some very knowledgeable and experienced people. |

Has the FSGP had any contact with the Addingham Environment Group. No david, ours is strictly independent group but thanks for keeping us in mind.
We have an active committee and a very active volunteer force for which we have plenty of spaces. |
