Walked down Bradley Road first thing this morning, stopped opposite the Taxi office to look over into the beck. What an eyesore, some nit wit as gone to the trouble of carrying a cart load of fag ends and thrown them down just inside the step area. Needless to say I saw red, went to the taxi office and asked the guy there to come out to look at the mess. Chap said it was nothing to do with them, but he got his ear bent anyway. What half wit would do this when there is a refuse bin a couple of yards away on the corner of the bridge, beyond belief. |

Perhaps the evidence was washed away by the heavy rain, or a local resident cleared them away !

The beck would have had to be mighty high to wash that lot away. There wasn't just a couple, there was at a guess, an ammount that would have filled a childs sand bucket. Now that does defy logic when a bin is 2 yards away. |

No I agree nobody would drive from anywhere to deliberately empty an ash tray, but why put the blame on a local company without proof, could it not have been somebody from the nearby flats & houses, a driver delivering to the Butchers/Cobblers or elsewhere.
Also I'm not suggesting that the offending items were washed away by the Beck in flood, but we have had some fairly severe downpours (from the sky) maybe the rain cleared them into the beck and away to the river.

It was posted in response to this point made by tetleydrinker: "I also think that accusing anybody (whether an individual or company) without proof on an anonymous forum is also wrong."
Just what is the connection here? Tetleydrinker is right in what he/she says and makes no mention of Steeton at all. I prefer to read logical comments that's all!

i was trying to point out it would be someone very near i was exagerating with saying Steeton as golden oldie says there is a bin nearby and if coming from anywere within 100 yards there are probably other bins you would pass
on my first post i think some of it is missing because i wrote more that what appears |
