Ever have it checked?. I didnt until a couple of weeks ago.Didnt feel unwell or anything but checked it. It came out at 230/133 which is far too high.120/80 would be good. I'm gobsmacked it could be so high and I had no idea.But thats it...you dont feel ill. It can easily lead to stroke of heart attck. So if you have not had it checked its a 2 minute job.No waiting just call in the chemist and they can do it or the doctors surgery has a machine where you can do it yourself. |

Blimey gazzer go and lie down!  I was in hospital several years ago with blood pressure 210/110 that was the symptom of the start of another very serious problem. My advice to anyone with high blood pressure is check it regularly and make sure you keep on the back of your doctor to sort it! You can get those machines cheaply enough nowadays to check it at home, it's worth it! |

gazzer...very brave of you to share this with the forum, you may well save some lives by doing it. We bought a machine from the chemists for about £10/15 a few years ago, and we use it regularly, cos we have had same problem. Well done gazzer, hope you can now get it under control. This does show the value of people raising similar things which could benefit others, and still stay anonymous for confidential reasons. |

woosies i got sent to hospitol about 3 years ago 235/135 went for check up with nurse at elliot steet docs saw the doc same evening informed to go straight to hospitol they would be waiting for me came home 5 hours later was supposed to be in overnight |
