This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Quote from Ilkley Gazette: -

HIGHWAY bosses are pushing ahead with plans for a 20mph speed limit in Addingham.

Notices have been appearing around the village and a spokesman for Bradford Council said that new traffic restrictions would be introduced in the next two to three months.

As well as the 20mph speed limit there will be extra no-parking restrictions and three electronic signs warning drivers when they are going above the speed limit.

They have a by-pass - is this a case of one rule for Wharfedale and one rule for Airedale by Bradford?

Hope they put double yellow lines down both sides of Addingham High Street as well. And on the road to Bolton Abbey as well.
