hello everyone, my name is smokey and i've been comming to your silsden site for many years, i have always lived in the united states but i plan to make a long time dream reality and relocate my family to the UK. i have only ever been interested in the yorkshire area and i am wanting to own/operate a pub/inn lately i have heard that the pub business was not a good business to get involved in. can anyone give me some information, i'm NOT looking to make a million just enough to live a happy life in a great little community. my occupation is a chef and i promise my intrest in silsden has nothing to do with that gordon ramsey crap show, i actually have been intrested in the bradley/silsden area long before ramsey's show. please give me some positive feedback. thanks smokey |

the bridge in silsden will poss be up for sale before long if not now ,apart from one, its had a run of landlords that have not given it full commmitment or not suitable for the job ,not many locals go in now, myself and plenty of friends included and as u are a chef the catering side of it can be used to its full capacity,as the summer trade of canal boats and walkers is there and it also has b@breakfast facilities,its just crying out to get someone with full commitment to revive this once buzzing pub.so welcome to silsden hope u find this or whatever u eventualy do a sucess. |

welcome aboared smokie the kings arms is still for sale as far as i know , its a good pub plenty of parking and is in the best part of town for pubs. if you want any more information perhaps angusmecoatup could help you.good look in your search for a pub  |
