are we all ready for this years gala, sun 25th july in the PARK i hope  lots of entertainment on the field and a cracking proccesion, our biggest yet weve got a birds of prey domonstration a kiddies entertainer whom does puppet shows balloon modelling and loads of other things, the fairground and for mum and dad the beer tentwe are also trying to get afternoon teas for the non drinkers, the kiddies races will once again be taking place as will the tug of war, a steel band also the accrinton pipe band , the jazz band and the majjorrettes, the ducking stool and hopefully a buckin bronco all this is to be held together with the whit and comedy of stevie c from drystone radio so all get up to the park with your £1 entry and lets raise enough to put it all on again next year |

We will see you there Skippy, I am bringing all of the family for our usual good day out, but I refuse to go on the watzers with my grandson because I couldn't stand up last year, and no I hadn't been drinking. _________________________ This is not a discussion area, questions / answers / information about the Gala only please. ive had the usual morning inspection and the park is holdind up well fingers crossedthe fairground are pulling on the park on thurs i hope |

Could someone please post what time it starts etc or post a copy of the poster that is in the shop windows (eyesight is good, but not that good when driving past) just want to make sure I don't miss any of it. |

Don't start that one again or I'll start on about the parking at the sports field. All I asked for was some info, if it's too much to ask I won't bother "supporting" the gala. I would have thought that this is information that would be useful on the EVENTS ANNOUNCEMENTS MEETINGS forum, instead you see it as an opportunity to have a snipe at someone who you very wrongly insinuate is not supporting local shops. sorry for the rant Peter on the announcements thread |

hi mattski proccesion lines up 12noon hoden rd ,judging is at 12.15 then proccesion leaves 1pm sharp.up main st then up briggate round in to bell square and back up bolton road in to the park,arrival in park approx 1.45, then the fun begins.proggrames should be in the shops /library and pubs this time tomorrow. hope this helps |

Now that was a very good Gala!!!! Need a few days rest now but it was a good day.Well done all you that came along and supported us, and to all you who happily put your £1s in the buckets thank you! And you few that moaned about paying £1 for so much fun....well theres no hope for you lot. |
